Description Arundel Court Primary Academy and Nursery, Portsmouth We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant 32 hours and 5 minutes per week, (8.30am to 3.40pm daily) 43.53 weeks per annum, term time only (38 weeks per annum). Fixed term contract until 31 August 2025 Salary Range Trust Grade 2 point 3-5 £24,027 to £24,790 (Actual starting salary, £17,180.27) You will be required to support the development of pupils’ teaching and learning and their physical and mental wellbeing on a one-to-one or in a small group basis. As part of a team you will help to encourage and develop independent learning, promoting excellent behaviours and creating a vibrant, happy and exciting learning environment, enabling our children to achieve their best. With a good knowledge and understanding of how to support learning for children and building effective relationships with children, staff and parents, you will assist in providing a wide range of activities and learning activities. Ensuring a safe environment, you will prepare and clear away materials and resources as required. With good interpersonal and communication skills, you will be organised, flexible and have the presence to inspire confidence and trust so as to develop and nurture independence. Some intimate care with children may be needed. Previous experience is essential.
