Forseven, a revolutionary company looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking an exceptional Legal & Corporate Affairs Strategy and Planning Manager to join our highly skilled and dynamic Legal and Corporate Affairs function.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency and effectiveness through comprehensive planning, strategy development and process management. This includes contract lifecycle management, governance oversight, IT tools and service optimisation, budget and resource planning, and strategic alignment of function goals with broader business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent management, analytical, and communication skills.
As part of the offering this role will be based in Leamington, however flexibility will be required to attend to other offices as and when required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.
What you will do
Team direction:
* Identify and communicate actions needed to implement function strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, vision and values.
* Business planning: Propose, coordinate and drive delivery of OKR (Objectives & Key Results) for the function to ensure measurable outcome and schedule key activities to track progress. Monitor and review functional effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement and integration with other elements of the business.
* Alliance management: Manage and structure governance and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and supporting processes and tools.
Project Coordinator:
* Data Protection: Coordinate data access requests and other data privacy enquiries and collaborate across the business to ensure timely reporting and resolution of data breaches.
* Manage external data protection service providers to ensure global compliance with evolving data protection regulations and security requirements.
* Coordinate management of sustainability initiatives to meet corporate responsibility goals.
Reporting & Process Management:
* Develop and implement contract processes including engagement with external partners, ensuring standardisation, compliance, and risk mitigation across the function.
* Project manage preparation and submission of corporate reporting requirements including board packs, website risk management and statutory disclosures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
* IT Tools & Services Management:
* Oversee the implementation, optimisation, and management of all IT tools and platforms used by the Legal & Corporate Affairs function (e.g. risk management, contract management, e-Discovery, document filing and categorisation).
* Coordinate with IT to ensure tools and services meet the department’s needs, and drive digitisation within the function.
Function Budget and Resource Management:
* Manage the function budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, cost-effective operations and successful delivery.
* Lead resource planning, including procurement and staffing.
* Manage relationships with external law firms and other service providers including third party company secretarial services, putting processes and tools in place to ensure successful execution of projects.
* Optimise resource management through proactive measurement and analysis for continuous improvement. Innovate processes to generate new ideas and ensure that required continuous improvement outcomes are achieved.
Team Capabilities and Training:
* Organisational capability building: use business development framework to identify the function’s individual training and development needs. Plan and implement actions to build skills and capabilities and enable individuals to improve performance and fulfil personal potential.
What you will have
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role within a legal or corporate affairs function.
* Strong strategic planning and management skills.
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
* In-depth knowledge of contract management, data protection principles, governance and compliance standards.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., contract management systems, Microsoft Office Suite).
