Are you interested in a rewarding role working with parents and their very young children – with lots of opportunity for your own learning and development?
Peeple is a charity based in Oxford. Our purpose is to support parents and children to learn together through everyday activities at home. We work directly with families in Oxfordshire and train practitioners from around the UK to deliver our programmes.
Due to recent funding, we are looking to increase the team and have a vacancy for a practitioner to join our frontline delivery to families in Oxford.
The role of a practitioner is to deliver the Peep Learning Together Programme to parents and children in group or 1-1 sessions. Full training will be provided. You will also help in publicising our services to parents and supporting them to participate in the services we offer. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our mission and aims to assist more parents in Oxfordshire.
Duties include:
* Plan and deliver Peep Programmes to groups of parents and children, in 1-1 work with families and through Stay and Play or other informal sessions.
* Deliver the accredited Peep Progression Pathway to families in all groups.
* Work proactively with families, the communities, and relevant agencies to achieve high-quality, integrated services for children and families. Ensure that these services are seamless for families through effective communication with partners.
* Follow up with parents and continually find ways to promote our programme and recruit new families.
* Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals and organisations in the best interests of the families.
* Assist in the organisation of, and take part in, special events and outings.
* Complete registers, collect feedback from families, and contribute to reports for evaluation purposes to meet the requirements of funders and management needs.
* Contribute to the development and piloting of additional resources for the Peep Learning Together Programme and/or new programmes as required.
* Support the implementation of Peep programmes to other organisations and practitioners by sharing information and knowledge, participating in the development, preparation, and delivery of workshops for other professionals.
* Promote an inclusive approach to service delivery and address barriers to participation. Ensure the rights of children are respected and promoted in all Peep delivery.
Please note: this role requires a degree of physical ability, as the role involves carrying resources to and from sessions and moving chairs and tables to create a safe environment for the children.
