Job Description Part-Time Finance Manager (3 days per week, must include Friday) Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial operations and support business growth. This role requires strong leadership, financial expertise, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in accounting practices. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and present statutory accounts to Trial Balance level. • Manage internal financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems. • Prepare all payroll, VAT, and HMRC returns, along with weekly cash flow forecasts. • Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports. • Supervise financial reporting and budgets. • Oversee purchase and sales ledger transactions. • Responsibility for accounts receivable and payable ledgers. • Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and accounting entries. • Conduct audits of current systems in preparation for external accountants. • Analyse financial reports and present findings to the board. • Identify risks, propose solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations. • Research and report on business performance influences. • Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs. • Monitor financial details to ensure legal requirements are met. • Develop external relationships with auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organisations. • Analyse market trends to maximize profits and identify expansion opportunities. Qualifications & Experience • Proficiency in accounting and office software such as Sage, Paperless, Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. • AAT Level 4 qualification. • Several years of experience in an accounting role.
