Quality Engineer required to join an award winning manufacturing firm, based in Maidstone, Kent area. This is a great opportunity for an expereinced Quality Engineer that has experience of FAI reporting and performing dimensional studies to support manufacturing and internal investigations.
Knowledge of machining plastic and metal parts, hand lay-up, compression, transfer and injection moulding is desirable.
Quality Engineer Position Overview
1. Managing the Control of Nonconforming Products identified in our Value Streams in accordance with company procedures ensuring that effective and timely containment, correction and prevention measures are deployed to address root cause(s) whilst maintaining communication levels internally.
2. Supporting the Value Streams in process improvements, problem solving and training initiatives.
3. Coordinating the setup of IMS Sheets and FAIRs.
4. Coordinating the completion of FAIRs in accordance with customer requirements.
5. Aiding the management of the calibration of Measuring and Test Equipment in accordance with company procedures.
6. Perform internal Quality, Environmental and H&S Audits to establish level of compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
7. Assist the Quality team in ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Quality, Environmental and H&S Systems
8. Support the Quality Team and Business with other duties aligned with this role.
9. First off, in process and final inspection using a range of measuring techniques, example CMM, verniers, gauges, etc.
Quality Engineer Position Requirements
10. Knowledge of machining plastic and metal parts, hand lay-up, compression, transfer and injection moulding is desirable.
11. Knowledge of EN9100 and ISO14001 is desirable.
12. A minimum of 2 years of experience gained in a manufacturing / engineering environment
13. Auditor experience is desirable, but training can be provided to the right candidate.

14. Full time - Permanent position
15. Working hours 08:00am - 17:00pm - Monday to Friday (16:00pm finish on Friday)
16. Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
