Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. Location: Flexible/Hybrid work from Peterborough office and home Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious water infrastructure projects? The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Senior Quantity Surveyor ? You will be a strong leader, and as a subject matter expert, you will provide commercial management for an allocated area of the SPA contract to deliver the project under budget. You will be accountable to the Commercial Manager and responsible for d emonstrating the highest levels of commercial integrity and financial self-assurance; have c ommercial management responsibility of the allocated area; and s upport all areas across the alliance with commercial management. Key responsibilities: Ensure the SPA alliance is provided with both accurate cost and value reporting and forecasting to mitigate adverse financial impacts Ensure effective capture of costs and ensuring all costs are allocated appropriately Ensure effective, efficient and robust processes and systems are employed to identify, report and escalate commercial risk, such as early warning notices, to ensure appropriate mitigation is implemented Assist the Commercial Manager in determining the operational commercial reportin g requirements of the alliance and work with the Performance Reporting & Systems team and Finance to ensure they are accurate, meaningful and timely Lead the identification of cost reduction opportunities and provide support to help stakeholders realise them Create and own appropriate commercial forums with stakeholders to ensure prudent commercial management and compliance with the governance of the alliance A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours…. Quantity Surveying Degree or equivalent. Experienced in delivering large scale projects incl uding civil, mechanical, infrastructure and non-infrastructure type work Have an a wareness of NEC3 forms of contract. Previous experience w orking in a complex matrix team environment. Excellent data analysis and reporting skills. Proven experience of Quantity Surveying with r elevant professional qualification e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICE Experience using SAP e.g. Finance, Procurement, ALM.
