Due to continued multiple project wins, our client is looking for Design Managers with a background in building services, structural or civil engineering to join a team of a very well-established Data Centre Design Consultancy. Very well-established mission critical division that are winning some of the leading projects in the market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Design Manager will deliver and overall manage the mission critical projects by being a vital link between the multi-disciplinary design teams involved. The Design Manager will run project trackers and ensuring project milestones are hit and coordinate design stage issues. The Design Manager will be reviewing contract documents and contractual obligations. The Design Manager will be responsible for the efficient management of the project, team and external partners/ sub-consultant management, pre- and post-contract. Managing, agreeing and tracking of RFIs, client decisions and approval procedures, ensuring submissions align with client expectations. The Design Manager will be involved in client and design team meetings, taking notes and tracking actions. SKILLS AND BACKGROUND The Design manager will be Degree qualified in Building Services, civil or structural engineering or Architecture. The Design Manager will have excellent communication and management skills. Consultancy or Architecture background. The Design Manager will have a strong understanding of construction project design processes and will have experience of working on multiple projects to tight deadlines. Experience of design management tools such as trackers for actions, information requested, deliverables, client comments and variations. No prior Data Centre experience needed.
