This role is a key member of the Medicines Optimisation Team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). MFT is the third largest provider of specialist services, and you will work with the Lead Medicines Optimisation Pharmacists and a range of stakeholders to ensure the safe and effective use of high-cost medicines.
The role will support our recently launched 'Care Closer to Home' project, focusing on efficient, safe, and sustainable medicine deliveryto ensure best value for patients and MFT.
We seek a passionate, dedicated pharmacist with broad clinical knowledge and an understanding of Medicines Optimisation issues. Excellent presentation, organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills are required.

To support the pharmacy aspects of managing high-cost medicines in line with national and local contracts with commissioners.
To support the transformation of homecare and outpatient services to ensure best value for MFT and patients.
To support the introduction of NICE TA approved and other nationally approved medicines into the Trust in line with local and national guidance and associated Medicines Management Committee implementation issues.
To engage with Trust stakeholders, the ICS, NHS England, and local professional networks on the development of joint services, commissioning and funding of medicines.
