The nursery school has been rated Outstanding by Ofsted and boasts fantastic facilities designed to support children’s learning and development, along with a dedicated, supportive staff team committed to providing the best care and education for every child.
There are a number of vacancies; some have immediate starts and others have April 2025. All roles are full-time positions requiring you to work Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4pm term time only.
Are you passionate about early years education? Do you enjoy supporting children in their learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our friendly team at a well-established nursery school in Wolverhampton.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences for children aged 2-4 years.
* Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development in a nurturing environment.
* Help with the planning and preparation of activities to meet individual needs.
* Provide one-on-one support for children who may need additional assistance.
* Ensure the classroom is a safe, welcoming, and stimulating place for children to learn and grow.
* Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Follow safeguarding and health & safety guidelines at all times.
Essential Skills & Qualities:
* A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential.
* Experience working with children, ideally within an early years or nursery setting.
* A patient, caring, and approachable manner.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Basic knowledge of child development and early years education.
* A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
* A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or a related field (or working towards it).
* Experience supporting children with additional needs.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
