My client is looking for an ambitious individual to join their growing business. You will need to be initiative-taking, able to work on your own or as part of a team, with the drive to learn new skills.
My client's focus is to train their engineers to meet their and their clients' high standards within the food industry. They have a continual training program served by their own in-house training centre.
The work involves servicing, fault finding, repairs, and installing various types of gas burners (forced draught/package and atmospheric on indirect and direct appliances), gas pipework, and associated gas equipment/controls. You will be required to complete digital reports to ensure traceability.
My client places particular emphasis on the food process industry, with their mobile service engineers dedicating themselves to providing quality and flexibility to suit all customers' needs, nationwide 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
What You Will Need:
1. ACS qualifications across gas commercial and industrial equipment, applications, and installations such as COCN1 or CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CDGA1 & CORT1
Nice To Haves:
1. ACS qualification in LPG, Comcat 1&3, BMP1, TPCP1/A, CPA1, CCN1 CENWAT & HTR1
2. IPAF & PASMA
3. Electrical Qualifications
4. Experience in the industrial food process sector, mechanical, electrical, or pipework installations
The Benefits:
1. 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) + Sick pay scheme + Annual bonus
2. Pension with company contribution of 6% of gross earnings

4. Company vehicle and fuel card (personal use allowed)
5. Overnight inconvenience allowance £50 plus sustenance £26 allowance paid per night when working away
Overtime Rates:
1. Mon to Fri - Time and a half
2. Saturday AM - Time and a half
3. Saturday PM - Double time
4. Sunday - Double time
5. Travel time - Door to Door paid at the prevailing overtime rate (either 1.5 or x2)
6. On-call / standby - 9 days every 6 weeks with a payment of £220
Expectations:
1. Basic salary between £35,000 to £43,000 (Depending on qualifications & experience within the industrial food process sector)
2. There is a requirement to work away, work weekends along with early starts/late finishes.
3. Scheduled into a 24-hour on-call rota (average 1 week in 8)
4. Available for up to two Saturdays a month as overtime.
5. Available to work away up to 8 days per month (On average up to 4 nights in any one instance with all hotels paid in advance by the employer).
6. A basic 40 hours a week, flexible to suit customers' needs between 07:00 & 18:00.
7. Candidate to supply basic hand tools, spanners, screwdrivers, toolbox, etc.
8. Employer to supply all specialist, electrical and measurement equipment, uniform, PPE, Mobile iPhone & PDA.
9. Must hold a valid driving license.
10. Must hold a passport for opportunities to work abroad.
