Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Theatre Practitioner in Theatres 6-10. We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic candidates who wish to enhance their career and join our team. The post holder requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience at Band 5 and will need to have demonstrated some leadership qualities. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate theatre lists from a Scrub/anaesthetic skill base, managing elective and emergency lists.
Being dual role offering both scrub and anaesthetic skills would be an advantage. This role will include assisting in the management of our busy Theatre department, whilst also rotating through our many specialties which include Maxilla Facial, Plastics, ENT, Ophthalmology, and Paediatric surgery.
Supporting the Deputy Theatre coordinators and Band 7’s with the smooth running of the department. Taking charge of the department when required.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic candidates with the ability to work well within a busy dynamic unit, and who can deliver high-quality patient care.
In turn, we can offer you a structured preceptorship and induction programme for all new members of staff, plus access to ongoing continuing professional education and development, appraisal, and clinical supervision.
Please understand that although this position is at Royal Stoke, there is a possibility you may be required to work at the County site on occasion.
