Priory Hospital Altrincham provides expert treatment for a range of mental health conditions and addictions. The hospital is comprised of three inpatient units (56 beds private and NHS patients), providing specialist care for adults with range of mental health challenges, young people with an eating disorder, as well as an adult addiction rehab and treatment programme. Altrincham also provides established, evidence-based outpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder. We also offer private autism assessments for adults.

Job Advert Role Description
The Hospital Director will have accountability for the financial and operational performance of the hospital, this includes setting the standard by leading the Hospital's Senior Management Team (SMT) and taking ownership for cost control, budgeting, and ensuring regularity requirements are satisfied. The Hospital Director will also be the Registered Manager; responsible for the delivery of day to day services in line with legal requirements.
The role holder will ensure the service performs to agreed targets for business planning, financial performance and care and quality standards. It is important that the role holder is able to lead and develop a culture where the very highest of standards are consistently delivered and promote and lead on improvements and innovation in the delivery of the hospital's services.
The Hospital Director will chair the monthly Clinical Governance Meetings and quarterly Medical Advisory Committee meetings with the support of the Medical Director.
The role holder will be expected to work closely with the HR function at site to establish and direct a recruitment and retention plan in order to meet future staffing needs and manage turnover and agency spend and will also be involved in promoting staff engagement at site.
Candidates will have extensive experience working at a senior level, preferably within a similar setting with operational and financial planning experience. Additionally candidates will be expected to have experience of commercial accountability with regards to cost control and financial performance. Extensive managerial and leadership experience is essential with a thorough understanding of developing services for healthcare and a strong record of accomplishment and innovation.
