Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing and Logistics Manager to oversee our procurement processes and ensure the efficient management of our supply chain.
As the Purchasing and Logistics Manager you will have:
1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies.
2. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
3. Manage the supply chain process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
4. Collaborate with logistics teams to optimise inventory management and distribution.
5. Analyse market trends to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
6. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance using Oracle EBS or SAP systems.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
8. Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing training and support as needed.
As the Purchasing and Logistics Manager you will have:
1. Proven experience of working in a similar role within supply chain management.
2. APICS qualified.
3. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier agreements.
4. Proficiency in supply chain systems, particularly Oracle EBS and SAP.
5. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
6. Strong analytical skills to evaluate supplier performance and market conditions.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
8. A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
