We are looking for candidates to work in a specialist educational setting dedicated to providing outstanding education and support for children with complex disabilities. We are seeking an empathetic and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting children with a variety of complex needs, ensuring they are able to access a rich and varied curriculum that fosters both academic and personal development.

Job Duties:
* Supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in their educational activities
* Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students
* Providing personal care and support to students, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene tasks
* Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with PMLD
* Collaborating with other staff members and healthcare professionals to ensure the holistic development of students
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Experience:
Prior experience working with students with SpecProfound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of PMLD and different strategies to support students with complex needs
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations
Preferred Qualifications:
First Aid training
Working Conditions:
* Work primarily takes place in a school setting
* May involve some physical activities related to assisting students with personal care
* Regular interaction with students, teachers, and healthcare professionals
* Full time hours 8:30-15:30
