We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our Property Team in our Devon locality. What you'll be doing As a Painter/Decorator you will carry out all forms of repairs in our properties and elsewhere in accordance with work schedules. Tasks to include: Measuring surface areas to work out how much paint or wall covering is required. Stripping off old wallpaper or paint. Filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level. Preparing surfaces with primer and undercoat. Mixing paint to the right shade, either by hand or using computerised color-matching equipment. Applying layers of paint and hanging wallpaper. Tidying up after finishing a job. What you'll need You should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Painting & Decorating OR have at least 5 years experience within this core trade. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices. Enjoy working as part of a team This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week. Due to the requirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van. This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic DBS disclosure.
