THE ROLE
The Account Director is a highly strategic and creative role – working across the core functions of the Programme Partnerships team to realise best in class content campaigns, drive excellent commercial performance and contribute to team growth and development.
A highly adept project leader, they will be responsible for owning and building out a pipeline of commercial partners, engaging with senior decision-makers and key opinion leaders across diverse disciplines to identify commercial opportunities, with a primary focus on developing and securing content partnerships, account growth, and repeat business revenue streams. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Account Director will lead project teams to execute impactful content campaigns that deliver commercial and creative value, shaping compelling narratives across written, video and audio formats that meet ambitious KPIs.
Impeccable communication, influencing and negotiating skills are a must, as well as experience in a sales and/or business development role and demonstrated ability to consistently outperform stretch targets. Successful candidates will have experience driving high performance and developing talent, as well as a proven track record of building and managing external relationships. A demonstrated interest in current affairs and an ability to quickly grasp and elucidate complex themes, as well as a strong understanding of digital media campaign strategies to engage relevant global audiences are also desired. DAY TO DAY
1. Project leadership, implementation of a range of branded digital content campaigns, and development and delivery of campaign materials across a range of different media platforms
2. Ownership of the partnerships process from research, negotiation, close, campaign development and account growth
3. Ongoing engagement with senior decision-makers to foster long term relationships and realise high value content partnerships across a range of innovative formats
4. Management of all redlines and contract negotiations, liaising with legal, finance, and compliance
5. Achievement of quarterly and annual activity KPIs and targets to support a fast-growing business
6. Stakeholder management at all levels to build successful relationships and achieve common goals, both internally and externally, and support with management of strategic industry partners and association bodies.
7. Continuous refinement and implementation of strategies to drive commercial growth, diversify the portfolio of creative deliverables and improve profitability
8. Effective communication to instil confidence in editorial and production colleagues, working collaboratively across the development and production stages of each programme.

9. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a broad range of senior level stakeholders and partners
10. Able to research, understand, and relay new, complex concepts effectively
11. Confident in contributing in brainstorming sessions and proposing creative ideas and solutions that meet client’s KPIs, and which deliver commercial and creative value for PP
12. Ability to grow commercial revenue; track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a new business development role.
13. Ability to identify, develop and close branded content partnerships.

16. Highly organised with strong project leadership skills to ensure the successful and timely delivery of all campaigns
17. Clear, eloquent, and personable manner, alongside an ability to think on your feet
18. Confident and experienced in conducting online and face to face meetings with senior executives
19. Able to clearly articulate the craft of writers, filmmakers and designers to both clients and colleagues
20. Polished written, telephone, and face-to-face persuasive communication skills
21. Strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret data and enact change
22. Great time management and use of initiative, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work in a fast-paced environment
23. Experience and proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM is a benefit, but not essential
