We are now looking to bring in the future of our Pre-Construction element, and a key role for our team would be an Estimator. Someone who has already been part of an estimating team but has more to learn and develop themselves with. What Will The Role Involve? As our new Estimator, you will prepare analytical estimates from first principles and all necessary associated data required to produce work-winning tender bids on behalf of Bethell Construction. You’ll be expected to review tender information to assess workscope, taking off accurate quantities where necessary, compiling comprehensive enquires for subcontractors and other resources, utilising all available tender information to remove ambiguity. You’ll assign work as necessary to other members of the Estimating team and submit bids in accordance with ITT instructions ensuring that all aspects of the tender have been addressed in a professional manner. You will be given training, guidance and assistance from an excellent team who will mentor you as you grow with us. What Key Skills & Experience Are We Looking For? Essential Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or other technically-related subject Minimum 2 years’ experience in estimating practice with an understanding of Civil Engineering; especially water, wastewater, highways and groundworks. On-site experience within a highways, infrastructure and/or water/wastewater utility organisation would be beneficial. Awareness of estimating software such as Valesco, Causeway or Conquest Financial and commercial knowledge would be advantageous Awareness of CESMM, HWMM, SMM7 Awareness of NEC forms of Contract Are you ready to make a change?
