Interim Regeneration Manager Location: Somerset Contract: Interim - 9-Months Our client, a local authority in Somerset, is seeking an experienced Regeneration Manager to lead a high-profile city centre regeneration programme. This role will involve managing a team of four staff and driving forward complex urban development projects in a challenging and fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of large-scale regeneration projects, ensuring they align with the local authority's strategic objectives. Manage and support a team of four staff, providing direction and ensuring effective project execution. Work on-site, overseeing development activity, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth project progression. Negotiate with multiple stakeholders, including developers, landowners, businesses, and public sector partners, to secure project success. Develop and implement strategies that support economic growth, placemaking, and long-term regeneration goals. Identify funding opportunities and ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule. Work closely with planning, infrastructure, and housing teams to ensure alignment with wider council objectives. About You Proven experience in leading large-scale regeneration projects in complex urban environments. Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully managing multiple stakeholders. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, making strategic decisions that balance development, economic growth, and community needs. Knowledge of regeneration policy, funding mechanisms, and local authority processes. Experience of working in a local government or public sector setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
