We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Area Fitness Manager to oversee the ultimate member journey across multiple locations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for curating and managing a diverse timetable of over 100 fitness classes, ensuring that our offerings meet the highest standards of quality and member satisfaction. You will lead and inspire a talented team of fitness professionals and instructors, fostering a positive and motivating environment. This role is ideal for someone with substantial experience in Leisure or Health and Fitness, who has a proven track record in managing large teams and is eager to broaden their expertise and influence.

Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Sunday - Rota Basis
Requirements
1. Strong people management skills
2. Experience of problem solving, organizational, customer service and staff management
3. Experience of at least three years in a fitness facility
4. Experience of sales, developing key targets and implementing marketing strategies
5. A high awareness of industry developments, new activities, trends and research
6. Good commercial awareness which translates into a successful and financially viable operation
7. A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development
8. Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally
9. Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
10. Mobility to travel across sites
11. Excellent communication skills, able to think on your feet
12. Excellent time management skills - able to deal with a number of priorities at once
13. A self starter who inspires others with their passion and energy
Desirable
14. Education to degree level or equivalent
15. GP Referral qualified
16. A relevant higher professional qualification in leisure or fitness
17. First Aid at Work
18. Defibrillation
19. Experience of identifying staff training and development requirements and implementing development opportunities
20. An ability to identify and nurture talent
21. Good computer skills and understanding
22. To be able to work flexibly with a good level of autonomy
