The team…
Our team drives the "Making What Matters" strategy, fueled by a passion for television – from daytime to primetime, and everything in between. Inspired by our audiences, we create, connect, and make an impact, whether it’s starting conversations, winning hearts, or changing minds.
Based in Manchester, our Business Service Centre supports Studios and Broadcast, maximising revenue and working closely with Group Finance. We’re made up of six teams: Talent Payments, Royalty Payments, Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Payroll, Record to Report, and Change, all collaborating to deliver excellence.
The role…
Our busy Talent Payment’s team are looking for an experienced Business Support Assistant to join on a 12 month contract. Reporting to one of our Talent Payments Managers, you will support all aspects of the processing of payments to Talent (Artists, Writers, Musicians) in accordance with ITVs Talent Payments policies and procedures, Union agreements, and HMRC regulations. You will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders at various levels so an excellent customer service acumen is imperative for this role.
Some Of Your Key Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
* Manage and maintain legal, personal, and contractual data in compliance with Talent Payments policies, Union agreements, HMRC regulations, and GDPR.
* Ensure the security and integrity of personal and banking information within the TalentPay system, including scanning and storage of sensitive data.
* Oversee onboarding for Talent, Service Companies, Agents, and Independent Producers, as well as system user management.
* Maintain the TalentPay system’s hierarchy structure and conduct regular data cleansing.
* Support payment processes and error management, acting as the first point of contact for banking issues.
* Advise business users on TalentPay matters and collaborate with Business Affairs on legal guidance when necessary.
* Provide team support and coverage as needed, ensuring continuity across all tasks. Update KPIs, contribute to team goals, and participate in departmental activities.
* Collaborate with the Manager for self-development and take on additional duties as required.
* Assist with efficient processing of Talent payments, resolving queries, and enhancing customer service.
* Foster positive relationships within GFO teams and ensure services comply with agreed controls and procedures.
Skills You’ll Need (minimum Criteria)...
* A number of years experience using professional email communication, with strong communication skills.
* Experience in managing high-volume payment functions, with a solid understanding of payment best practices, controls, and procedures.
* Proven experience in a customer-facing and processing environment.
* Experience working with stakeholders at all levels in a customer service setting. In-depth knowledge and experience in query management and resolution.

* Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure or a heavy workload.
* An understanding of VAT accounting principles, HMRC regulations, and a good working knowledge of Talent Union Agreements.
* 5 GCSEs grades A – C including English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Desirable but not essential: Further education diploma / 2 A levels or equivalent.
