Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting directly to the Department Director.
* Managing all aspects of Public Law work, including providing technical expertise and guidance.
* Supervising Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers.
* Assisting with training and development within the department.
* Handling a diverse range of Public Law cases, including unlawful detention, false imprisonment, and asylum support.
* Preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency.
* Drafting documents, processing evidence, and attending conferences and court.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Law Society Immigration Accreditation.
* A clean, valid Practising Certificate.
* Strong management skills and previous supervisory experience.
* Commitment to providing excellent client service.
* Ability to handle sensitive client matters and resolve complex Public Law issues.
* Excellent networking and communication skills.
* Working knowledge of Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters.
* Extensive experience in Public Law-related work.
* Advocacy experience is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management.
