As a Senior Project Engineer with a mechanical bias, you will oversee and manage assigned projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for delivering these complex projects from concept to completion, utilising innovative solutions with both new and existing technology. Your role will involve initiating and approving engineering designs, ensuring they adhere to all relevant standards, policies, and regulations. A key aspect of your position will be to ensure that designs and delivery methods are Right First Time (RFT) and meet all stakeholders' requirements. Additionally, you will ensure pre and post installation testing of all equipment and systems integral to the project is completed to allow for successful and timely handover.
Whilst this role will be based either in Harwich or Swansea, there is a requirement to work on-site at our remote stations located onshore and offshore within our jurisdiction. These visits will typical be of a few days duration but exceptionally up to 3 weeks and involve work outside of normal office hours.

Skills and Experience
- Experience of project management,
- Experience of mechanical design and understanding of working to relevant standards,
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office,
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes desirable,
- Good working knowledge of contract law,
- Knowledge of 5 case business model and other public sector project and procurement models desirable,
- Knowledge of CDM regulations,
- Good understanding of planning regulations and consents,
Qualifications
- Level 5 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- A recognised project management qualification (i.e. PRINCE 2, APM)
