What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, offering clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Maintaining efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required, with support provided to complete training within 6 months if not already qualified.
Opportunities exist to pursue NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, leading to eligibility for registration with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician and potential advancement to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Salary and benefits will reflect your professional development.
