“Creating inspiring places that connect people to their environment is what drives landscape practice” is how the Landscape Institute describes the vocation of Landscape Architecture. The ability to design and create aesthetically pleasing, visually appealing environments with both Art and Science at their disposal. To the uninitiated, it’s just grass or plants but to a Landscape Architect, it’s Sustainability, Biodiversity, Wildlife Conservation, Improvement of Public Health and Revitalisation of Neglection.
If this is what being a Landscape Architect means to you, then I want to hear from you. You’ll be involved in any number of projects across London, whether residential or commercial, small and large, simple and complex. It’s imperative that you bring your creative vision and your strategic influence to advise clients. If you’ve any experience of Public Inquiries or Planning Appeals, this would be a plus but it’s in no way essential as this can be part of your continued professional development. The same applies to those who are CMLI.
The role is paying up to £50,000 per year for the right candidate, plus discretionary bonus, enhanced pension contribution, health cash plan, wellbeing incentives and support, 25 days paid annual leave with the option to purchase more, enhanced maternity / paternity leave including adoption.
You must have a relevant degree, which would normally be in Landscape Architecture, but they will accept others with relevant experience to support. Your IT skills need to be on point also, so we’re looking to hear from those who are competent on CAD or AdobeCC. Their culture is something they’re proud of, so they’ll be looking for personable individuals who can add value and contribute to team outcomes.
