Head of Facilities & Engineering required to join a rapidly expanding cold storage logistics business. The role oversees Facilities / Maintenance Management for circa 8 sites across the UK&I.
They are open to location, however, this is a hybrid working role requiring regular visits to each of the properties whilst also allowing for home working.
Description
The Facilities & Engineering Manager is responsible for overall compliance & maintenance of existing properties and
equipment including building services, refrigeration systems, racking, MHE and automation. The successful applicant will have an active role in any new development projects within the UK&I region, from challenging the technical design through to site delivery.
Oversee the effective operation, maintenance, and improvement of facilities.
Manage and deliver CAPEX projects across the portfolio
Ensure adherence to compliance / health and safety regulations.
Manage and lead a small team of regional FM's, engineers and facilities staff.
Develop and implement proactive maintenance schedules.
Work closely with senior management to develop strategic facilities plans.
Manage external contractors and suppliers.
Monitor and manage budgets for the facilities department.
Implement and manage energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.Profile
The successful candidate will have:
A degree in Engineering or a related field.
Previous experience as a Head of Engineering / Facilities in a similar role within the logistics sector
Understanding / knowledge of refrigeration systems would be advantageous
Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
A proactive approach to maintenance and improvement.Job Offer
£90,000 - £110,000 annual salary
