Your Role as a Kitchen Assistant:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our culinary team to deliver delicious, nutritious meals that enhance our residents’ daily lives. Working closely with our Chef, you’ll help with all aspects of kitchen operations, including:
* Preparing Ingredients: Washing, peeling, and chopping fresh produce to ensure meals are made with care and precision.
* Assisting with Cooking: Supporting the Chef in cooking and adding the final touches to make every meal special.
* Serving Meals: Helping with plating and serving meals, ensuring they meet dietary requirements and presentation standards.
* Kitchen Hygiene: Keeping the kitchen spotless by cleaning equipment, washing dishes, and adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
* Stock Management: Monitoring and rotating stock to maintain freshness and assisting with inventory checks.

What We’re Looking For:
* Experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in catering (preferred but not essential).
* Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable, but full training provided).
* A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to creating a friendly, resident-focused environment.
