ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Trainer to join our team at Wombourne. You will work as part of a wider regional team, but will be responsible for all mandatory training, inductions and refresher training at our Wombourne site. You will also support the development of writing standard work and the use of self paced learning.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Deliver all mandatory training and refreshers required for legal, audit and customer compliance.
• Deliver hourly paid company inductions as specified by the HR teams and arranged by the administrator. Deliver Food Safety and Health & Safety inductions for all salaried staff.
• Work with H&S team to ensure that health and safety training is delivered in accordance with the H&S training plan.
• Work with the Technical Training Adviser to ensure that all training material is consistent across the region and delivered to an equally high standard.
• Work with the Technical Training Adviser to design new material and update current material.
• Evaluate all training carried out to ensure continuous improvement and to ensure delivery against training and learning objectives.
• To support audits by providing relevant training documentation.
• Support Team Leaders and Area Operations Leaders in the development of writing standard work methods and standard operating procedures by increasing their capability
• Verify SWM’s and SOP’s to the required business standard.
• Audit the on the job training of operatives against the SWMs
• Train team leaders, area operations leaders, technical specialist training and facilitation skills so they can effectively deliver training
• Assist in projects for the training and production departments as requested and deliver findings or recommendations within the agreed time scale
• Proactively assist managers to identify training needs and skill gaps within their respective teams
• Manage self paced learning and support employees with navigating the system and completing on line courses
• Become regional technical expert in at least 2 areas (e.g. Food hygiene, Fork Lift Trucks) to deliver those courses at all sites when required.
• Work with other sites where needed to ‘flow to the work’
• Undertakes training and development required to maintain competence in training ability aligned with changing business needs.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a self motivated induvial with a passion for training. Ideally you will have experience of:
• Delivering and facilitating training events
• Facilitation and training design
• Strong computer skills
• Experience of required Production Processes.
• Training and evaluating outcomes.
• Prioritising workloads for self.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing best practice.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety / Food Safety best practice.
