JOB TITLE: Landscaping Supervisor
LOCATION: Gyle Shopping Centre
PAY RATE: £15.50 per hour
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week, 5 over 7
Job Objective & Responsibilities:
Working as part of our talented ABM Service Team at Gyle Shopping Centre, Edinburgh as a Landscape Supervisor with ABM UK, you would be responsible for managing and coordinating landscaping operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This role involves leading a team of landscaping staff & managing resources.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Oversee all aspects of landscaping projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor landscaping staff, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Resource Management:
Manage and allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
Safety and Quality:
Enforce safety regulations and standards, ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining high quality of work.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of project progress, and any other relevant information.
Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on project status, performance, and other relevant metrics.
Person Specification:
Experience:
Proven experience in landscaping or related field, with a strong understanding of landscaping practices and techniques.
Leadership:
Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and direction.
Communication:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and staff.
Problem-solving:
Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Organisational:
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Safety:
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards, with the ability to ensure a safe working environment.
