The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the company within the solar energy industry. This role includes financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, risk management, and strategic financial decision-making to support business growth and profitability. The Finance Manager will also ensure optimal financial operations, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and cost control to maximize efficiency and support the company’s renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals in the solar energy sector.
2. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
3. Provide insights on financial trends, risks, and opportunities to management.
4. Support decision-making with financial models and scenario analysis.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
1. Prepare, review, and monitor the company’s annual budgets.
2. Track project costs and ensure cost-effectiveness in solar installations and operations.
3. Identify opportunities to optimize expenses and improve profitability.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
1. Prepare and present financial reports (P&L statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
2. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
3. Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors for financial statement accuracy.
Cash Flow & Investment Management:
1. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company maintains a healthy financial position.
2. Assess investment opportunities, including solar energy projects, and provide recommendations.
3. Manage financial risks related to currency exchange, interest rates, and credit.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
1. Ensure adherence to tax regulations and timely submission of returns.
2. Optimize tax planning strategies for renewable energy incentives and benefits.
3. Maintain compliance with government policies and incentives related to the solar industry.
Financial Risk Management:
1. Identify and mitigate financial risks in solar project investments and operations.
2. Implement internal financial controls and fraud prevention measures.
3. Monitor economic factors that impact solar energy pricing and investment decisions.
4. Collaborate with operations, sales, and procurement teams for financial decision-making.
5. Support project financing and liaise with banks and investors for funding solar initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's / MBA preferred).

3. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
