Workshop Engineer required for my client who are a long-established supplier of engineering machine tools to the UK hobby and light industrial markets, based near to Liphook.
They are looking to recruit an experienced engineer with both mechanical and electrical backgrounds within a machine tool environment.
Manual (non-CNC) turning, milling and light fabrication skills will be necessary and the position will be predominately workshop based with some occasional customer site visits from time to time.
Responsibilities:
* Wire up machinery, conforming to current electrical safety standards.
* Undertake metalworking tasks including drilling, tapping and fitting accessories onto machines.
* Use your metalworking background to solve workshop issues, find and rectify faults.
* Carry out testing and commissioning of new machines.
* Check machines against specification and quality criteria.
* Fabrication of parts and undertake general metalworking tasks.
* Carry out refurbishment of used machinery.
* Quality Assurance systems and procedures.
* Occasional client site visits for repairs, specialist installs and collections will be required.
* Provide technical support to the sales team and direct with customer.
Qualifications:
* Have a mechanical and electrical engineering background.
* Be multi-skilled within both mechanical and electrical engineering.
* Machine tools experience or have worked with machine tools.
* Good with diagnostics and maintenance/repairs.
* Based within a commutable distance of Liphook.
* Full UK driving licence is beneficial.
Employment Details:
* Salary - £30,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon skills, qualifications and experience.
* Full time position - Monday to Friday - 08:30am to 16:30pm and 16:00pm finish on Friday - in the workshop.
