Salary: £25,272 to £25,688 Annum (Salary based on a 40-hour contract. A higher range is offered to applicants with qualifications in health and social care)

Overview of the role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will liaise with the seniors in the home, reporting any matters of concern. Experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge is essential.
Key duties
* Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
* Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
* Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the home
* Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?
Sennen Lodge is a large, detached home that supports eight men and women, aged from their early 20s to 40s, with severe learning disabilities and autism. All residents are non-verbal. Sennen Lodge is in Bitterne, a few minutes from Eastleigh town centre, with easy access to Southampton. The home has its own Activity Coordinator who creates a structured activity programme to enable ongoing personal development through a range of individual and group activities.
