Job Overview
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our existing team supporting our Robotics Division, this role will be based from our Telford Office, but will be expected to provide coverage to the whole of the UK & Ireland. The main responsibilities for this role will involve:
* Responding to service and breakdown requests with Customers; diagnosing, repairing and troubleshooting on 4-axis & 6-axis robots and associated controllers on a scheduled, emergency or 24/7 basis.
* Completion of Field Service reports on all customer related activity
* Liaise with the relevant department in Stäubli France for the return of parts under warranty.
* Basic programming of Robots (Full Training will be provided).
* To be included in the 24/7 on call rota. This may require response to call outs outside of standard working hours.
* To deliver our maintenance/user training courses as and when required.
Candidate Requirements
It is essential that candidates have a:
* Minimum of 3 years automation and/or technical service experience
* Full valid UK Drivers licence
* Valid passport (or capability to get a passport) as international travel will be required
* Willingness to travel 50% - 70% of the time
* Experience of electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance as well as repair and refurbishment.
* Experience of reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical drawings and related technical documents.
We would also look for Candidates to have good clear communication skills and be comfortable liaising with all levels whilst being able to work with minimal supervision.
