We are seeking a permanent Caretaker to maintain a portfolio of Social Housing sites around Erith, Woolwich, Sidcup and Thamesmead. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting others and maintaining a clean, organised space. You must have a full UK Driving Licence, but Company Vehicle is provided. This role is Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 per week, inclusive of breaks) Main Responsibilities Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents, clients, or visitors. Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning rooms, common areas, and bathrooms. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing small items, and managing waste disposal. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents as needed. Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, if required. Monitor and report on residents' health and well-being, including noting any changes in condition. Ensure the premises are properly maintained, organized, and secure. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other household items. Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including emergency procedures and protocols. Assist with managing schedules for appointments, deliveries, and activities. What are we looking for? Full UK Driving Licence Proven experience as a Caretaker, Housekeeper, or similar role. IT literate (use of tablet, smart phone apps). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude toward others. Basic knowledge of health and safety standards. Physical stamina and ability to perform light manual tasks.
