As a General Therapy Assistant (GTA) in this large and busy team you will be required to work under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists within the team, following direct instructions. The successful candidate will also provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the service area, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff. The post holder will work alongside allied health professions in a multidisciplinary team environment. Main duties of the job To provide skilled routine, and non-routine, clinical and technical support to the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team and clerical staff associated with the team. To accept patients allocated by the Therapists, assess and treat according to protocols and guidelines. To monitor patient progression and make alterations to intervention as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including admissions, discharges, and transfers. Provide administrative support to therapy team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
