Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Employee Experience team as the Leadership Development Lead. This role will help us develop our internal leadership offer and will be given the opportunity to shape the future leaders of the Trust.
This role will work closely with the Head of Leadership and Organisational Development to embed an inclusive and compassionate leadership development offer across the Trust. It will ensure that a holistic perspective is taken to leadership development, thinking outside of training alone and applying evidence based interventions to ensure our leaders are able to excel in their specific context.
It’s an exciting time to join NSFT as we have just co-created a new leadership framework that we want to ensure is embedded across the organisation at all levels. The role will be pivotal in designing, implementing and evaluating a variety of initiatives, working closely with the wider People & Culture Team and engaging with leaders across a wide range of Services and Professions. We want to encourage those with experience or interest in Behavioural Science to apply, this includes those who are finishing a current relevant development programme (e.g. MSc Organisational Psychology or Organisational Development).
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone to join our team to support the development and delivery of a professional and specialist leadership development consultancy service to meet the needs of the organisation, especially our clinical leadership teams.
1. You will be instrumental in supporting improvement of the overall organisational performance and effectiveness by developing, delivering and evaluating programmes of leadership.
2. The role will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Trust's organisational development and leadership development strategies. The role is pivotal in driving cultural change, enhancing employee engagement, and building leadership capacity across all levels of the organisation. A core element of the role will be to support the delivery of a new leadership competency framework.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
This role contributes to the development and delivery of the Trust’s Leadership and staff engagement strategies to improve overall organisational performance and effectiveness.
Working in line with NSFT’s People and Culture Strategy, you will regularly assess leadership needs and create, develop and implement Leadership strategies and initiatives including embedding of Trust’s values.
We are looking for someone to provide a professional and specialist internal Leadership consultancy service. You will be working alongside HR Business Partners, OD leads, Training and Development Leads and their associated operational managers by providing specialist advice and support to understand, analyse, diagnose, and shape leadership needs. You will also define strategies and plans to meet these needs and contribute to organisational effectiveness.

Person specification
Experience
* Designing, planning and delivery of a range of impactful leadership development programmes and other interventions.
* Coaching and mentoring or leading programmes of coaching or mentoring.
Qualifications
* Degree level qualification plus additional relevant training or equivalent relevant experience to Masters level or equivalent.
Knowledge and skills
* Knowledge of a variety of leadership development tools.
