Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist – Crewe Position: Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist – Crewe Banding: 6/7 Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time/Part-time Duration: 3 months Rate: £28.00 – £34.00 P/H Job Description: We are seeking a committed and skilled Locum Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our team based in Crewe. This role involves providing speech and language therapy assessment and intervention for children and young people in mainstream school settings, particularly for those who have speech and language therapy needs identified in their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP). What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role? As a Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist you will deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and young people with identified needs on their EHCPs. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing tailored intervention plans, and evaluating progress to ensure effective outcomes. As the role involves working in various school settings, you will need to travel to different locations, so a valid driving license is essential. Your duties will include collaborating with an interdisciplinary team (MDT), maintaining effective communication with parents, carers, and educational staff, and ensuring that therapy aligns with the broader goals of the EHCP. While prior experience in school settings is advantageous, it is not mandatory. However, you should be familiar with the EHCP/SEND process and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
