You could be a part of the world’s first Certified B Corporation® carbon-neutral laundry service Your key responsibilities will include: People Strategy - Develop and execute Oxwash's People strategy, with vertical alignment to overall business objectives and continuous improvement, informed by employee voice. Employee Relations - Address employee relations issues effectively and efficiently, providing compliant and commercially sound guidance and advice. Talent Acquisition - Oversee and continually improve the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring the acquisition of top talent to meet business needs. Compliance and Risk Management - Manage HR policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring these remain compliant with best practice and legislation. You will also oversee our Employer of Record hiring and practices for Oxwashers based outside the UK. Talent Development & Performance Management - Develop and implement effective performance management and talent development programmes, promoting continuous learning, skill development and training opportunities. Total Reward - Manage the design and administration of competitive compensation and reward programmes, including annual salary and equity (EMI) benchmarking. Data-driven Decision Making - Use data analytics from our HRIS (HiBob), ATS (Workable) and employee surveys (GSuite) to make informed decisions and boost key KPIs including employee engagement, retention and performance. Fiscal Management - Manage the People budget and contribute to monthly payroll processes, using your attention to detail to ensure accuracy. Change Management - Oxwash is a fast-paced, dynamic start up, where iteration and innovation are seen as critical parts of our success. This means that change is inevitable. As Head of People you will help the company to navigate change initiatives and manage the impact for our People. ED&I and Social Impact - Promote and champion our sustainability, ED&I and social impact initiatives. This is likely to include contributing to our annual sustainability report and maintaining our accreditations as a B Corp and Real Living Wage employer. Requirements Key Qualities and Competencies: You have solid experience in generalist People leadership or strategic HRBP roles, across the full employment lifecycle. Experience of advising in operational/manufacturing and tech or start-up environments would be beneficial. You are a “people person” with strong emotional intelligence, influencing skills and tactical empathy. You will also be skilled in active listening to understand and address stakeholder and employee concerns. You bring strong analytical skills and experience of leveraging People data for problem solving, decision making and strategic implementation. You have a track record of building a mission driven, positive and inclusive culture (ideally in a start-up and/or fast changing environment). Excellent communication skills are vital for building good working relationships and conveying People advice effectively in this role. You will use these skills to partner with senior leadership confidently and gain support for new People initiatives. Key Relationships: You will report to our VP of Business Operations and Strategy, who is responsible for the company wide People team and strategy. They will support you in your execution, act as a thought partner, sponsor any key projects and foster your development. CEO: You will be delivering business critical activity and interact with the CEO about the ultimate success of this. CFO: You will work closely to fulfil all fiscal responsibilities (including payroll), manage the people budget, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
