Sister/Charge Nurse

There has never been a more exciting time to become a Ward Sister/Charge nurse within the Medicine & Urgent Care Division at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Internal promotion, operational redesign and service review have given the division a unique opportunity to appoint a number candidates into a developmental sister/charge nurse roles.
We are looking for natural leaders who have the ability to develop and lead teams with the delivery of high quality care for our patients whilst ensuring our teams are well led and operationally effective.
If you feel you have these attributes and a passion to lead our teams in providing excellent care to our patients then we would like to hear from you.
You will have a depth and breadth of both clinical and some managerial experience at a Band 5 or above and be looking for the next step within your Nurse Leadership Career. Your clinical knowledge base will run in parallel to your leadership acumen to deliver the role of the Ward Sister supported by the Ward Manager.
In return you will be supported by a proactive and enthusiastic nursing leadership structure and will be supported to undertake managerial development and undertake our in house leadership programe in the future.
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that safe effective care is provided to patients at Tameside Hospital.
Be highly visible in the clinical areas.
The post holder will work closely with and support when required the ward manager and multidisciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the department .
