The King’s School, Canterbury, one of the most prestigious and historic schools in the UK, is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Head of Examinations. The Role
As Head of Examinations, you will oversee the planning, organisation, and delivery of all internal and external exams at The King’s School and the International College.
This pivotal position requires leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities, including:
1. Coordinating a wide range of qualifications, primarily with JCQ and Cambridge International awarding bodies.
2. Managing a team of invigilators and administrative staff, ensuring all are trained and equipped for their roles.
3. Ensuring full compliance with awarding body regulations and safeguarding the security and integrity of the examination process.
4. Liaising with senior leadership, teaching staff, parents, and students to provide a seamless and supportive examination experience.
With multiple exam seasons throughout the year and a commitment to continuous improvement, this role offers variety, challenge, and the chance to work closely with key stakeholders across the school community.

1. Proven experience in exams management, education administration, or a related field.

4. Competence in using educational MIS, databases, and secure online systems.
5. A calm, ethical approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
6. Discretion and integrity when handling confidential matters.
7. Flexibility to work during peak periods, including occasional evenings and weekends.
