Vacancy Type: Permanent, full time and based on-site. Potential hybrid working subject to operational needs.
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000pa (subject to experience) + Discretionary Bonuses + Benefits

You will drive and support NP Aerospace’s business development activities to win new business and be responsible for sales of ballistic helmet technology, body armour, Explosive Ordnance Device (EOD) Suits and adjacent market products, including:
* The identification of new business-winning opportunities and the development and execution of Campaign and Capture Plans.
* The generation of new business leads and the development of the new business pipeline, exposing NP Aerospace products and technology to businesses and end users worldwide, including law enforcement and military organisations.
* Supporting wider Business Development activities as required, including the population and management of our business opportunity tracking system and the preparation of reports and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
You will be required to travel on occasion, including international travel, and network with customers and end users in our target markets and geographic clusters to deliver significant growth and profitability.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Win new sales.
* Identify and pursue new business-winning opportunities.
* Gather and analyse market data in target markets with support from the Marketing Executive.
* Identify and collate the customer’s requirements, needs, and problems.
* Influence customer requirements to align with NP Aerospace solutions and discriminators.
* Develop and communicate NP Aerospace’s product discriminators.
* Develop, maintain, and execute new business Campaign and Capture Plans.
* Develop, maintain, and execute customer contact plans.
* Inform and provide input to the NP Aerospace Research and Development Plan.
* Inform and influence the relevant business functions to deliver winning solutions and bids.
* Support the Bid Management Team in responding to tenders.
* When appropriate, coordinate delivery activities and liaise with customers post-contract award.
* Support and provide input to the Marketing Manager for communications planning and marketing activities.
* Present NP Aerospace’s products, differentiators, and discriminators to customers, partners, and suppliers, as well as at exhibitions.
* Attend shows and exhibitions as required.
* Engage with internal stakeholders, particularly the engineering community, to deliver coherent and accurate information to customers.

* Proactively support the delivery of sales forecasts.
* Grow the number of business-winning opportunities available to NP Aerospace.
* Grow the number of potential customer contacts.
* ‘Close’ and secure sales.
EXPERIENCE
* Experience in defence and security industry (5-10 years).
* Experience in sales or business development function (5-10 years).
* Education: University or College degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or another similar field.
* Service in the military or a law enforcement organisation.
* Experience or knowledge of personal protective gear, body armour, and vehicle armour systems.
* Project Management or project engineering.
