Sales Ledger Clerk - Bridlington
A business based in Bridlington is currently recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their busy Finance Team. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of circa £25,000, based on experience and qualifications, along with attractive working hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in a modern office environment with free on-site parking.
Reporting to the Management Accountant, the key responsibilities include:
1. Managing a portfolio of accounts, proactively chasing and collecting outstanding debts
2. Producing weekly aged debtor reports with analysis of outstanding debtors
3. Building relationships with key contacts
4. Reconciliation of Local Authority accounts, investigating and resolving queries
5. Bank reconciliations
6. Maintaining accurate resident records
7. Performing other ad hoc duties as required
We are keen to hear from individuals currently working in high-volume Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, or Accounts Receivable roles who are seeking new opportunities. Candidates with experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, or Accounts Administrator, and interested in progressing into a Credit Control-focused role, are also encouraged to apply.
To be successful in this role, you should:
1. Have previous experience in a similar finance position within a busy finance team
2. Be IT literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel
3. Have strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
4. Be familiar with accountancy software such as Xero, Sage, etc., and able to learn new systems quickly
This role is easily accessible by car from Scarborough, Filey, Driffield, Bridlington, Beverley, and surrounding areas, with free on-site parking. It is also accessible via public transport.
