We have an exciting opportunity for a Disrepair Manager to join our team based at our Head Office in Worcester. The role sits with the National Head of Asset Sustainability and the successful candidate will manage a team of disrepair coordinators whose aim is to bring all claims received to a timely resolution ensuring we are meeting our maintenance responsibilities as a landlord. You will support in the delivery of a first-class, customer-focused disrepair service. To take ownership of a high-profile business stream ensuring the right outcomes are achieved for our customers and that insights gathered throughout the process are used to drive improvements and investment in our existing assets.
The role of Disrepair Manager will include:
* Lead the management of the disrepair workstream for Sanctuary Group ensuring that outcomes are met and delivered within the agreed scope and timeframes avoiding the impact of disrepair breaches.
* Manage recruitment, performance management, and development of the team, to ensure required skilled people are available to meet business needs for delivering high-quality housing services.
* Work collaboratively building strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and external at a national, regional, and local level to support the management of disrepair including but not limited to legal counsel, property services, and housing.
* Lead the development and improvement of dashboards and platforms that support the management of disrepair cases.
* Provide a regular suite of reports and updates to the Senior Leadership Team giving assurance over the control of cases relating to disrepair claims. Provide analysis of cause and promote preventative measures to mitigate risk to similar properties in our portfolio.
* Lead and contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group’s values and objectives.
Skills and experiences:
* Proven experience of undertaking a similar role within the Property industry managing a housing function.
* Good understanding of written and spoken English.
* Ability to influence others directly or indirectly to achieve strategic aims.
* Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to extract and interrogate data.
* Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving license is essential.
