Autism West Midlands is the leading charity in the West Midlands for autistic individuals. We deliver family and adult support and have been doing so for over 30 years.
We provide a number of Community Support Services and as part of this role, you will be required to oversee the following services:
1. Adult Services: We provide a range of services for autistic adults, including support for those awaiting an autism diagnosis or newly diagnosed individuals. We also offer support around befriending, health and wellbeing activities, and have several groups open for people to attend across the region.
2. Family Services: We are often the first port of call for families whose son or daughter has received a diagnosis of Autism, offering early critical support and intervention for the whole family. We provide advice, guidance, training sessions, and run a range of groups and play sessions for young children and their siblings.
We deliver this support across many parts of the West Midlands, including Shropshire, Hereford, Worcestershire, Birmingham, Solihull, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley, and Sandwell.
You will oversee services based in Birmingham and The Black Country, with direct line management responsibility for Assistant Managers. Your role will be to lead and oversee service delivery, ensuring responsiveness to the needs of families and adults affected by autism while meeting the changing priorities of commissioners and funders.
