Why Arup
Tackling climate change is arguably the most difficult challenge humanity has faced and to overcome it will require experts from all disciplines and backgrounds to come together and collaborate. Arup has made sustainability and the urgent need to transform the energy system to low carbon its most important priority in response to this challenge, through the launch of our climate services plan. We are already recognised as leading consultants in this field and are working for both public and private sector clients on some of the most important advisory and engineering projects in the UK today. This includes advice to central and local governments on decarbonisation strategies, managing innovation programmes for low carbon technologies, delivering design solutions for tomorrow's low carbon energy system and providing sustainable investment advice. Over the next three years we will substantially grow our energy business to meet this challenge and so are looking to recruit across a wide range of skills and grades in all parts of the UK.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our established and growing Advisory Team in Birmingham. With a focus on Energy Networks, Major Infrastructure Development and integrated project management, you will play a key role in leading and growing the Energy Advisory business and supporting clients in the development and delivery of projects and initiatives that will drive towards a net zero future.
