Client Manager - Accountancy Practice
Are you a Kent-based qualified accountant looking for better work/life balance in a supportive and progressive organisation, on a part-time or full-time basis?
Do you thrive on building meaningful relationships with clients and guiding them towards success?
Do you have a passion for numbers and how they can translate into real life achievements for small businesses?
When you join us, you will become part of a small team who cares deeply and is committed to providing a supportive environment for its clients and team members to reach their goals – whatever these might be.
Once settled in, you’ll also be able to work largely flexibly and remotely if you want to - We care about your work-life balance and the environment, so we’re cloud based and paperless, and only request we all work from our office in Marden, Kent one day a week – we find it easier to foster team spirit that way.
You will work with clients who chose to work with us because they’re interested in their numbers, not just in filing on time – So you won’t be working to HMRC’s or Companies House deadlines, and you won’t be doing tax returns in January.
You will be part of an organisation that strives to grow its client base and its service offering through adoption of best of breed cloud-based software solutions and collaboration with other professional service providers – We believe SMEs deserve access to the tools and techniques used by world class businesses, in a user friendly and cost-effective way.
You will be encouraged to contribute to, innovate and challenge the way we do things to provide better and more efficient services.
You will be encouraged to design a training programme adapted to your own development needs and be given time to ensure that you keep up to date with taxation and technology changes.
We celebrate our successes and have annual social events based on team’s suggestions, the last was an escape room and we (just) made it out for a nice dinner.
What you can expect
1. A salary between £40,000 and £55,000 depending on qualification and experience, pro rata.
2. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays – We close the office to clients at Christmas so no one has to work, but the option is there to work uninterrupted if that’s what you prefer.
3. Contribution to the company auto-enrolment pension scheme, or to your own – your choice.
This would ideally suit someone wanting to work part-time, but full time would be considered for a candidate who can help us grow faster.
Here is how one of our team members describe working with us: "It is a nurturing place to work whilst being part of a progressive, ambitious company. The team is great to work with and you are listened to and respected. The clients are interesting and the work is varied with the growing client base and evolving technologies." Mary – June 2023
