The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide one-to-one and group support for children with various additional needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.
2. Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to implement personalised learning strategies.
3. Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment.
4. Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in all students.
5. Contribute to the overall well-being and academic progress of the children in your care.
About You
To thrive as a Teaching Assistant, you should:
6. Have previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting.
7. Be empathetic, patient, and flexible in your approach to supporting diverse learners.
8. Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Hold a valid Enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one through Reeson Education.
10. Be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
