We are looking for a bright Supply Planning Intern to join our Supply Chain Team in our Food Business Unit based in Milan.
How you make the difference
As a Supply Planning Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient planning and supply chain operations to ensure the availability of products in line with customer demand.
How your agenda looks like:
1. Providing support to the team in capacity and inventory planning for production lines and finished products;
2. Enhancing and fine-tuning our Contractors Planning workflow, improving current tools;
3. Updating and maintaining supply chain databases and planning tools;
4. Conducting KPIs analysis to check compliance with S&OP Bolton’s process, implementing new reporting dashboards/tools to support the team;
5. Carrying out specific analyses to validate plans feasibility in a medium and long-term period;
6. Constant interaction with stakeholders: company’s internal functions (Procurement, Finance, Demand Planning, Industrial, Logistics, etc.) and externals, including third-party manufacturers, providers, and logistics companies;
7. Supporting crisis mitigation and issue resolution regarding supply chain shortfalls;
8. Identifying and proposing enhancement actions to the manager, according to a continuous improvement approach, evaluating their feasibility.
Your team:
This position reports directly to the Supply Planning Manager of Bolton Food. There are no direct reports for this role, but you will work closely with all departments.
How you look like:
1. Education: Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics;
2. Good knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office Suite (Excel, Word); SAP knowledge will be considered a plus;
3. Local Language: Italian (required); proficiency in English is also essential;
4. Strong analytical skills and ability to plan work according to priorities and urgencies;
5. Ability to collect and critically interpret data and numbers to ensure a strong focus on continuous improvement and excellence in execution;
6. A proactive and fast learner keen to evolve, challenging himself/herself daily to reach excellence and focus on customer and stakeholder satisfaction;
7. A fully accountable and people-oriented team player able to instill trust and build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
