JOB DESCRIPTION
As Quantity Surveyor of Fourply, you will be working primarily for the Commercial team but also liasing with Contracts Managers to ensure the effective management of all aspects related to cost control, procurement and financial management within our refurbishment contracting projects.
This position would be office based with visits to sites and as and when required.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role requires excellent communications skills and a comprehensive understanding of quantity surveying principles to drive future growth and development of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
∙ Manage commercial and contractual arrangements associated with existing client accounts
∙ Price, negotiate and agree costs and budgets for projects and project variances
∙ Procurement and placing sub-contract packages to meet project delivery requirements
∙ Monitoring project progress, controlling costs and expenditure along with project variances
∙ Negotiate and resolve contractual disputes with clients
∙ Submit and agree valuations/final accounts as timeously as possible with a view to initiate invoicing
∙ Produce financial and management reports that monitor project progress

ATTAINMENTS & EXPERIENCE
∙ Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
∙ Membership in a relevant professional association (e.g., RICS) is preferred
∙ Experienced in Quantity Surveying within the construction and refurbishment industry
∙ Proficiency in construction cost estimation and Microsoft Office
∙ Experience on working with schedules of rates would be beneficial
∙ Knowledge of relevant construction regulations and legal requirements
