This high-growth Legal 500 firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Partner to lead their Glasgow disputes practice. With an existing caseload of work to pick up, there is no requirement to bring a following although this person should be capable of developing new business and leading from the front.
Equity will be actively considered from the outset and given the growth and profitability of the firm; this is a compelling possibility.
The Role
Based out of the firm's growing Glasgow office, you will have the opportunity to support national clients with their most complex and engaging commercial disputes. Acting in both the Sheriff Court and Court of Session, you will work across a range of commercial issues such as breach of contract, misrepresentation, insolvency disputes, director's duties, negligence claims and real estate matters to name just a few.
Furthermore, the litigation will span the full spectrum of sectors, from energy, financial services, technology, transport and more, making for an engaging position.
You will be the lead Partner in the Glasgow office and as such will be charged with steering the strategic direction of the practice, developing client relationships and ensuring junior team members are supported.
This is a rare opportunity to enter a leading firm, going from strength to strength at a senior level and taking your career to the next level as you work towards an achievable equity position.
The Firm
This ambitious firm has a well-founded reputation as a market-leading provider of legal services nationwide.
Numerous Legal 500 practice area rankings clearly demonstrate the expertise this business has cultivated, and it has become a notable source of some of the highest calibre legal talent in the UK. Many of the lawyers at the firm have gained individual recognition, including many Legal 500 rankings and Chambers & Partners accolades.
Partners are known to be friendly, down-to-earth and approachable. They have created a supportive environment where employees are given agency over their work.
Clients range anywhere from families and HNW individuals all the way to FTSE100 goliaths, and exposure to this variety means that solicitors gain unrivalled experience and are able to become true experts in their chosen field.
Due to the excellent work and support of renowned colleagues, it is not uncommon for staff who stay at the firm to progress quickly through its ranks and gain recognition both internally and externally for their efforts.
