Elevation Accountancy and Finance are currently working with a great business in the Doncaster area as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full time, permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals
2. Preparing statutory accounts
3. Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
4. Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries
5. Managing petty cash transactions
6. Controlling credit and chasing debt
7. Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits
Person Specification:
8. 2 Years previous experience working in a busy accounts department
9. Strong Excel Skills
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
11. Ability to work independently and take initiative
12. Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
13. Ability to pick up and understand the requirements of the role quickly
14. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and clients
15. Strong numeracy, organisational, communication and interaction skills with a strong attention to detail
16. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
